My Favorite WLW Romances III

I was looking through my drafts when I found this post and it hit me how long it’s been since I made one of these! So, here is the third installment of my favorite sapphic romances in books! These aren’t necessarily romance novels, but they do have a romantic subplot!

For the previous two posts, you can click here and here!

Her Wolf in the Wild by Rien Gray

I am not a paranormal romance sort of person, but I think I am after reading this! It’s about a woman on the run from an abusive relationship and how she runs into the queer werewolf pack who protects her. This book avoided a lot of the werewolf romance fiction stereotypes that made me apprehensive about the genre; the concept of “mates” is not used to kickstart an insta-love storyline, there’s no omegaverse body parts, and the “alpha” of the wolf pack isn’t an asshole!

Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo

When I first reviewed this on my blog, I gave this 3 stars, but it’s really stuck with me! I really did love the look into 1950’s San Fransisco. Easily my favorite part was the look into the queer clubs of the time and this fledgling relationship between two girls who truly have to live their life in secret and between hidden glances at school and bookstores.

The Rise of Kyoshi by F.C. Yee

This book does so much already besides provide a great sapphic romance! It’s a fantastic continuation of the Avatar universe that you love! And the romance!!! I genuinely highlighted an entire page at one point because I was just screaming about Kyoshi and her love interest!

Beetle & the Hollowbones by Aliza Layne

This is easily one of my favorite graphic novels of all time. The autumn vibes are palpable, the friendship between the witch and the little ghost is phenomenal, but I truly truly loved the romance between the witch and the skeleton sorcerer!

What’s your favorite sapphic romance that you’ve read recently? Let me know in the comments!
