WWW Wednesday | September 23rd

WWW Wednesday was formerly hosted by Should be Reading and was recently taken over by Taking on a World of Words.

What are you currently reading?

After owning this book for years, maybe ever since it came out, I’m reading Welcome to Night Vale by Joseph Fink and Jeffry Cramor and loving it. It’s so Night Vale, it’s perfect. It doesn’t follow Cecil Palmer, but other Night Vale citizens and I can’t wait to see how this book unfolds.

We’re also gonna ignore the slight reading slump I’ve found myself in with Percy Jackson because I still haven’t finished the 3rd book, okay? Okay.

What did you recently finish reading?

My first read for Latinx Book Bingo, Mexican Gothic, was weird and wonderful. Truly a gothic horror novel that goes off the rails in a good way in the second half. I can see why some people didn’t enjoy it, but I really did.

What do you think you will read next?

The Queer Lit Weekend is coming up, and while I have two books on my TBR, I’ll probably only read one during the actual weekend thanks to sudden plans. I’m going to hedge my bets and say I’m going to read the smaller of the two books, An Impossible Distance to Fall. This is a f/f historical fiction set in the Great Depression and has to do with flying planes.
