Top Ten Tuesdays | Freebie (Authors I Want to Read More Of)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

This week it’s a freebie, so going off of the TTT earlier this month “author’s I’ve read the most books of,” I’ve decided to list which authors I want to read more of. The only condition is I have to have read a book by these authors before.

V.E. Schwab

I know, it’s a crime that I’ve only read one book of hers despite being in the book community for 3 years. City of Ghosts was one of the few 5 star reads of the year I read it and I’ve since added most of her books to my TBR.

Sarah Gailey

Even before I read a book by them, I suspected one of their other books, River of Teeth, to be a 5-star read for me. Now that I’ve read Upright Women Wanted, I definitely want to give more of her books a chance.

Zoraida Córdova

Labyrinth Lost wasn’t my favorite book of all time, but I do want to try her other books, especially Incendiary.

Courtney Summers

I, like most people, loved Sadie, and I’m excited for her 2021 release. I’ve never read a cult book before, but I’m hype for The Project.

N.K. Jemisin

I was a bit too intimidated by her fantasy trilogies, but now that I’ve gotten a taste of her style with The City We Became, I’m ready to tackle them.

Danny Lore

I read Lore’s short story in A Phoenix First Must Burn, and was floored. They wrote for some graphic novels, and I really want to get to them.

Elizabeth Acevedo

I’ve put every one of her books on my TBR after I loved The Poet X! I’m just hoping my library adds the audiobook of Clap When You Land soon.

J.Y. Yang

I own all of the Tensorate series as it stands and I need to read it all. The first book was so good.

Margaret Rogerson

She has no upcoming releases as I write this, but I loved both of her books, and Sorcery of Thorns is probably one of my all-time favorites.

Claudie Arseneault

I need to continue the City of Spires series after the first book blew me away, but I also want to read her anthologies and superhero book.

  1. Interesting that you find N.K. Jemisin an intimidating author! Probably because she’s one of the most accomplished in SF&F? I only started reading her books relatively recently too but I’ve found she more than lives up to the hype! Also if you are planning to read more V.E. Schwab I deffo recommend her Shades of Magic trilogy — probably my fave of what I’ve read from her so far!

    Lovely list 🙂

    1. She’s intimidating mostly because of the size of her works and I’m traditionally not a reader of adult fantasy. And I own the first book of the shades of magic series, I just need to find the time!
